ZHIYUN CRANE 2 REVIEW
Waterfalls we gotta love them well oh hey everybody what's going on my name is TK and that video you just saw was filmed entirely on the J on crane - even the flying parts okay maybe not the flying parts that was the drone I wish the crane could fly but today is all about Gimbels and whether or not you should consider getting one I'm gonna be reviewing the giant crane - and giving my opinion on how it handled our day at the waterfalls I'm going to be going over the three most important things a gimbal must have to be a killer filmmaking tool the crane twos features it's different modes the price and I'll give you guys my personal opinion from my experience using gimble's over the years that I've had them so first of all the three most important things a gimbal must have number one is it must be convenient it's got to be easy to use easy to set up and easy to take with you the giant crane 2 comes with an awesome carry case which the crane can be stored fully put together so all you have to do is just take it out of the case balance your camera and you're ready to go setting up the crane - and balancing my camera took just under five minutes which is a good amount of time when you really need to get things done it also has a stand which you can screw on to the bottom of the crane which means you can put it down anywhere you like battery life is now up to 18 hours which is insane you don't have to worry about your batteries going dead on a shoot that will last for probably two days before you need to change them again the second thing that a gimbal must have is it must be durable it's gotta be able to last and go with you to some tough environments when we were shooting at the waterfall the crane got incredibly wet so did the camera I even fell over and got a bit of mud on the gimbal but I wasn't too worried because I've owned Joan's gimbals in the past and the last one I had I put through absolute hell and it still works perfectly fine today so durability when it comes to the cranes doesn't really worry me at all these things are made to last they're a strong piece of kit to have and the third thing that a gimbal must have is it must provide you with quality content it's got to do what it says it's gonna do I was running across rocks and mud to try and get the shots of Richmond and I was able to get some really nice clean shots I was actually very happy with how the crane performed and now the crane too has more powerful motors than the previous model and a payload of 3.2 kilograms this definitely helped to keep my camera steady and get even better shots than I normally would have okay so let's talk about the features of this bad boy first of all we have this LED display here which you can actually see what mode you're in and you can change your camera's shutter speed its ISO using the menu here with the wheel which is super handy it just means you don't need to go into your camera and fiddle around and try and get to their menu you can do it all on the crane itself it also has this giant wheel here which is part of a follow focus system which you can get with the crane this is super helpful for the manual people out there because it means you can pull focus when you're moving towards a subject and moving backwards just by turning this wheel here to focus one of my favorite features of this giant crane too is that it has a quick-release plate so when you need to take your camera off you need to slip it off straight away do your shots and put it back on the giant crane 2 also comes with a ton of different movement modes so you can choose which movement is best for your footage these different modes include pan follow for follow lock mode point of view mode and my personal favorite selfie mode as for the price you should be able to pick one of these up for about 700 to 800 Australian dollars I think that's about 500 us so we've covered the three most important things the crane must have to be a killer filmmaking tool the different features the different modes price so is it worth getting a gimbal my personal opinion using gimbals over the years I've had them honestly I don't think I'll be able to make the videos that I do today if I did not own one I've been able to take these guys to some crazy places and they've been super convenient and easy to use and they've just allowed me to get some amazing footage which I would not be able to get if I didn't own one so I've got to say I really I love gimble's they're super handy for me but I mean it's up to you whether or not you think that these would be more valuable for your type of filmmaking so that's pretty much all I've got to say today about gimble's and the amazing giant crane - I'm loving this thing right now it's an absolute beast I'll leave a link in the description if you guys are interested in purchasing one also don't forget to follow me on Instagram to see what I'm working on next it's been TK and apart from that I'll see you guys in the next video peace you.
